So yeah. Jack called me tonight, asked what I felt like for dinner. Said I dunno, what do YOU want to do? He suggested I stop at the store and grab "ingredients" and he'd cook. No recipe, no instruction, just get food and he'd figure it out.
Ah. I loooooove this.
So dinner, for a starter, we had spinach amd muchrooms sauteed with red wine. Verrrry yum. Dinner was shrimp pasta with a rosa sauce. Also good.
But.
My man really showed his stuff with dessert.
He macerated strawberries in cream de cocoa. Then he drained them and made a whipped cream using some of the liquor. He soaked slices of pound cake in the remaining liquor and served it all up with a dusting of cinnaom.
Causing me to exclaim, "MM!!! God DANG is this good."
Then after a moment, "I have GOT to blog this."
Jack just asked, "Is this the reason you're marrying me?"
